To come up with this list of the world’s best boutique hotels 2022, I visited 100 hotels, and stayed at 75, to find the 10 best boutique hotels in the world. How do we determine what constitutes the world’s 10 best resorts and hotels? We think the only way to make honest recommendations is to stay at tons of hotels and test-drive them to make informed suggestions. We don’t take hotel sponsorships, so we can give you honest, no BS, ideas about what might be the hotel for you and your family.

We do have some biases though: we love great architecture, inspiring locations, beautiful interior design, and great views. We treasure smaller boutique hotels that are unique and unusual.
