The Retreat Hotel is Iceland’s most luxurious resort, situated at the Blue Lagoon. We most loved the exceptional architecture, the attention to detail, and the beautiful setting. The Retreat Spa may be the best spa in Iceland.
The Retreat is part of the Blue Lagoon complex, which is less than 30 min from the airport. The hotel is surrounded by an amazing lava-scape that also forms the uber-relaxing mineral baths. The baths are so large and spread out that it feels like you have the place to yourself. You can take a walk around the hotel, or venture a bit further out with walking trails around the Blue Lagoon and Silica.
