- We loved: The ubiquitous reminders you're in an historical building (the high ceilings, for example), one that's comfortable and refined; the frenzied green paint scheme that somehow works in the charming sunroom (is it the offset of the white paintwork? the grandeur of the fireplace? we're still thinking about how exactly the Pavillon pulls it together); that corduroy wallpaper; the James Joyce bar, elegantly lively at night and whose namesake wrote a portion of his masterwork 'Ulysses' in this very hotel. And you thought checks were the only thing that got written in hotels...

Come inside the Pavillon Faubourg Saint-Germain, a great design hotel in one of the best walking neighborhoods in Paris: St-Germain-des-Prés. The architecture is amazing and the hotel’s designers did a great job balancing this protected building’s history, with modern design elements that work really well together.
There’s a great restaurant and bar here that locals seem to love, plus a nice spa, and you’re a short stroll to great Paris museums like the Rodin and the Musee d’Orsay.
