It’s hard to compete with the view from The Bolder Skylodges, a unique retreat located on a cliff’s edge overlooking Lysefjorden in Norway. The hotel (partially designed by Vipp, a Danish maker of cool things) is made up of two types of cabins – Star Lodges and Sky Lodges, plus the even more luxe Grand Lodge. The Star Lodges were designed by Norwegian studio Snøhetta and homeware brand Vipp, and the Sky Lodges by Norgeshus. The lodges are scattered across the natural setting, and the designers and owner get extra points for making these drool-worthy cabins light on the land. The interiors beautifully blend in with the surroundings, and all cabins have complete kitchens, featuring some of Norway’s worst coffee (sorry, but got to keep it real).
Bonus: you’re less than a 20 minute drive from what may be Norway’s most iconic tourist attraction Preikestolen (a.k.a. Pulpit Rock).
