Stuff You Should Know

The decor is polarizing — parrots on lamps, gilded chandeliers, botanical everything. You’ll either love it or wonder who let the zoo redecorate. Rooms can run dark, so ask for a lighter flat if that matters to you. The club spaces downstairs are atmospheric but genuinely dim — bring optimism, not a book.

Breakfast isn’t included (from £15 continental, £27 full English unless you book with us). You’ll might want to download their app before check-in — speeds your checkin, food orders, and gym check-ins. Pet-friendly with a £50 fee. Pool closes at 9pm and kids 12 and under get a 90-minute window (3–4:30pm). Quiet hours from 10pm.

All-Day Café Meets Members’ Club Cocktails

The Other Kitchen is a bright, retro-tiled all-day café open to guests and the public — a completely different energy from the rest of the hotel. Think casual brunches, decent coffees, and simple plates done well. Breakfast isn’t included but runs from £15 continental to £27 for the full English. Down in the club, the Owl & Monkey bar is small, intimate, and genuinely creative with its cocktails — dark chocolate rims and all. Small sharing plates pair nicely with a pre-dinner drink. The Keeping Room offers a more atmospheric option for members’ lounge vibes with a club menu. No fine dining here, but that’s not the point — you’ve got a kitchen upstairs.
