Stuff You Should Know

You can’t drive here—arrivals are by boat only. Which is part of the charm, but also means WiFi is spotty and the nearest shop is a boat ride away. The resort runs 100% off-grid, which feels magical most of the time but requires you to be a little flexible (like occasional power blips). The setting is pure Costa Rica wild coast—don’t expect nightlife, except for the jungle sounds. And bring serious insect repellent—this is the Osa after all.

Food and drink

Food + Drink On-site surprises

Farm-to-fork with jungle vibes

Food is a highlight here—and not in the fussy, plated art way. Think fresh fish caught that day, tropical fruits from the farm, and creative vegetarian options that never feel like afterthoughts. Meals are generally set menus mixing Italian and Costa Rican flavors, hosted by the owners or chefs, and feel more like a dinner party in the jungle than a resort meal. It’s all included, and the kitchen will happily accommodate dietary needs—just let them know in advance. No menus, no choices—you eat what’s served (which most nights will make you happy you left the city behind).
