In this video, I explore why beachfront resorts are surprisingly scarce in Costa Rica, despite its extensive coastline. Through my month-long stay and over 25 hotel stays, I’ve discovered that many resorts give the impression of being beachfront when they’re not.
This video explains the reasons behind this, primarily due to Costa Rica’s Maritime Zone Law. I share my personal experiences with deceptive hotel websites and I’ll give you some practical tips on how to verify a resort’s proximity to the beach using tools like Google Maps and satellite images, and emphasize the importance of direct communication with the resort. This video aims to equip you with the knowledge to avoid disappointment and make informed decisions for your next Costa Rican getaway.
