- We loved: The atmosphere of the hotel: tongue-in-cheek and intricately executed (the stained glass! the candles! the confessional that has been turned into a work station! the monk robes worn by hotel and bar staff!); the champagne and chocolates in our room on arrival; the lacquered ceiling in the bathroom that features one of the biggest showers we have ever seen; the Middle Eastern and Asian fusion restaurant that is worth visiting even if you are not a guest at the hotel; the dramatic smoke and candles in the - wait for it - devilishly awesome bar.

The Sinner Paris was our favorite Paris hotel! The hotel wins the Swank award for coolest hotel vibe, ever. Think: Medieval church meets the devil meets chic design aesthetic. Not to mention the great music and food. Then there’s the room: amazing. Incredible attention to design detail, and while the exterior of the hotel won’t win any architecture awards, the interior design and decor is about as good as it gets… yum. A world-class urban hotel experience.
The hotel’s in the Marais, the Swank Guide’s favorite Paris neighborhood, with tons of nearby bars, restaurants, art galleries and indie-label fashion.
