The Sendero Nosara is the newest addition to a growing list of boutique resorts in Nosara, Costa Rica, and offers a straightforward, comfortable stay for those visiting Costa Rica’s most famous surf town. The hotel features a modern, minimalist design with clean lines, but with some more traditional South American architectural elements mixed in. With just 22 rooms, the Sendero maintains a sense of intimacy that, at times, can feel crowded.
The hotel is a two-minute walk from the beach, allowing easy access to the surf. The pool area provides a calm spot for relaxation, but isn’t equipped with quite enough loungers. The on-site restaurant is a highlight, with a bit of a Miami Beach vibe and the food is excellent, the best we had in Nosara.
One of Sendero’s standout features is its surf school, making it a great choice for both novice and experienced surfers. The hotel’s proximity to Nosara’s well-known surf breaks makes it an ideal base for learning to surf.
