Located just 25 minutes from Udaipur airport, the Raffles Udaipur is a lavish retreat set on its very own private island in the middle of a 16th-century man-made lake. With 101 rooms and suites, this resort blends Indian opulence with the Raffles’ legend. Whether you’re looking to unwind at the serene pool, pamper yourself at the indulgent spa, or explore the extensive grounds, this is the kind of place that doesn’t whisper, no it screams, “luxury getaway”.
The resort has two main dining options: one specializing in traditional Rajasthani cuisine and the other offering a (somewhat unexpected/odd) fusion of Indian, Italian, and Mexican dishes. And yes, it’s as wild as it sounds. Activities abound, with everything from tennis and croquet to archery, climbing, and more. It’s a playground for those who like to stay active between spa treatments, and a great destination for families with kids. If you need to escape the kids, there are two bars, including the one in the library, for those who prefer their books with a side of cocktails.
