Why should you trust us?

The Swank Guide has partnered with Booking.com and Tripadvisor to provide easy booking links for the hotels we recommend. Why? Because it ensures we can get you the lowest price, and it helps us continue to bring you empowering and entertaining content.

This new booking feature does not signal a change in our total editorial independence or in our status as a fully fan-supported business. Simply put: we have no financial relationship with any hotel or experience we recommend. We do not accept bags of cash, Dodgers tickets, sacrificial animals or blushing flatteries. The only way to get recommended by Swank is if we've tried it, loved it and would recommend it to our family and friends.

Swank you!

  • Lashings Treasure Beach, Sandy Bank, Treasure Beach Jamaica W.I.
  • Price guide: $$$$$
  • We loved: Our $75/night room in the "villa wing", which was bright, with a good-sized bathroom, and boasted double-doors that opened onto the pool; the free access to the beach club (a lounge, bar, and hang-out area in one, complete with comfy sofas); the $3 (USD) pork jerky at Wassy Jerk and Pizza (which sure helped our limited budget); taunting birds at the bird sanctuary: cheap and easy fun!

Lashings Boutique Hotel in Treasure Beach is one of our top 10 hotels in Jamaica. In our Jamaica Luxury Challenge, we’ll see if we can stay at a great hotel, eat and play on just $100/day.

Overall, this is a great place to base yourself for exploring the beauty of this remote area of Jamaica. Lashings may be the best bargain in Jamaica if you’re looking for a hotel with an eye for design, with a fair amount of quirk thrown in. Rooms come as cheap as $65 a night and go up from there. If you have slightly more room in your budget, you should consider Lashings Beach Club rooms.

Regardless of whether you choose the main Lashings location on the hill overlooking the ocean, or the beach club, you have access to 3 pools, 2 restaurants and the beach. This is a great place to explore the quieter side of Jamaica: no cruise ships or KFCs for miles, and convenient to the bohemian town of Treasure Beach.
