Pro tip: Beside the Pulpit Rock hike, there’s a good hiking trail that goes right by the property, but there are ladders and mud involved, so be prepared. Pulpit rock is 20 minutes by car (Norway’s most iconic tourist spot… or one of them at least), that’s about a 2 hour hike one-way, and moderately to fairly steep in parts…. But it’s worth it. There’s a cafe at the base of the hike and paid parking at trailhead.

The fully equipped kitchen invites culinary adventure – good thing, since the nearest restaurant requires a 15-minute scenic drive. Stock up like you’re preparing for a stylish siege; the local grocery store plays hard to get with the same 15-minute commitment. At least the designer water glasses make tap water feel fancy.
