Via del Corso is right outside, with most of Rome’s major monuments within a 5–15-minute walk. The trade-off is tourists — lots of them. Inside, things get calmer, but don’t book Palazzo Roma expecting resort-style facilities. During our stay, there was no hotel-owned rooftop, spa, gym or meaningful shared outdoor space. What you do get is unusually strong service for a small boutique hotel, including 24-hour room service, plus a concierge team that gives genuinely useful recommendations.

Food + Drink On-site surprises

A Bar That Breaks the Rules + Dinner That Respects Them

Palazzo Roma gives you one restaurant and one bar, but both earn their square footage. CORE occupies a frescoed historic room where original walls and ceilings meet modern banquettes and crisp white tablecloths; during our dinner, the food matched the setting rather than getting buried by it. Palazzo Bar goes the other direction: dark, layered and deliberately strange, with Enrique Rottenberg photography adding another jolt to the wood, metal, glass and color. The limitation is variety — there’s just one restaurant and one bar — and the streets outside are full of places to eat, but also plenty of tourist traps.
