Welcome to the anti-resort, where Instagram filters feel redundant and sustainability scores perfect 10s (that sea-fed pool might look cloudy, but so does authenticity). Each room plays its own game of design roulette – and wins. The beach may be petit, but it’s a small price to pay for escaping cruise ship chaos, plus there’s an expansive beach 200 yards away.
Pro tip: Book that villa with the pool if you’re feeling flush, but even the tiny cottages pack more personality than the entire Montego Bay hotel strip (low bar). And yes, there’s really a bar on stilts in the sea – because why shouldn’t there be?

Food + Drink On-site surprises
Two distinct flavors of dining: Jack Sprats, next door, serves pizza and jerk with a side of waves (literally – the deck hangs over them), while the main restaurant plays it farm-to-table fresh by the sea-fed pool. Food scores a respectable 6.5/10, but atmosphere gets full marks – especially those beachfront tables that make every meal feel like a movie scene. For peak Caribbean surreal, let them arrange a boat to Pelican Bar, where a fisherman’s dream became the world’s most improbable watering hole. Floating drink minimum: one Red Stripe.
