The entrance and lobby are understated, but what’s behind the door is worth a look. This is a small, design-focused hotel rather than a full-service property, so don’t expect a pool, spa, gym or rooftop bar. What you do get is a well-designed base in one of Rome’s most walkable locations, with the Pantheon just three minutes away and plenty of the city’s best sights within easy reach. Hotel Trame isn’t somewhere you book for a restaurant scene. Breakfast is served in the circular Sala Rotonda, while SLOW, the street-level café handles specialty coffee, pastries, brunch and lighter savory dishes. That’s the entire food-and-drink lineup: no full-service restaurant, rooftop bar or cocktail lounge. The bigger advantage is the location. You’re a short walk from plenty of Rome’s restaurants, though this central a location means doing a little homework to avoid the tourist traps.
