Welcome to Half Moon’s tale of two resorts: Original Recipe (charming but scruffy at times) versus Eclipse (where modern luxury remembered its sunscreen).
The 400-acre estate offers everything from royal-ready villas with dedicated staff to bungalows that can’t quite decide which decade they’re from. Eclipse side flaunts pools that belong on architecture feeds; the Founders Cove side counters with beach access that makes location scouts weep.

Food + Drink On-site surprises
Like everything here, dining comes in two distinct flavors: Eclipse’s architectural-digest-meets-appetite approach versus classic Half Moon’s more traditional take on tropical dining. Both sides serve everything from local specialties to international fare, though Eclipse does it with more photogenic flair. Cross-dining privileges mean you can experience culinary time travel without changing your room key. From beach-casual to properly posh, every restaurant seems designed to make you forget about that cruise ship buffet you glimpsed in the harbor. Food is good, but not what the Swank Guide would say is excellent.
