Aman Venice

Venice's most intimate Grand Canal palazzo — only 24 rooms, wild ceilings, a noble family still living upstairs, and Aman's minimalist DNA somehow thriving inside 500 years of Baroque excess.

Stuff You Should Know

Book dinner at Arva the moment you check in — the main dining room has only a handful of tables and they go fast. Entry-level rooms (Sansovino Stanza) are 75 square meters — larger than most. Grand Canal view rooms cost significantly more; garden-facing rooms are still beautiful and considerably less painful. The garden is only open May to October. Arrive by water taxi — the hotel has its own private jetty and it’s one of the great arrival experiences in Italy. Venice Carnival (February) and Biennale periods command significant additional premiums on top of high season rates. October is consistently the most expensive month.

Venetian Cuisine Sourced Daily from the Nearby Rialto Market

Arva restaurant sources directly from the Rialto Market — Venice’s thousand-year-old produce hub is a five-minute walk from the hotel’s private jetty, and you can taste the proximity. The main dining room is wild: sofas, candlelight, maybe four tables by the window that are probably the best seats in Venice. Book it the moment you check in — it fills fast, and the side room, while beautiful, is not quite the same thing. The bar makes great drinks and comes with a piano — one that Chopin played.
