Stuff You Should Know

This isn't your average boutique hotel—it's more like staying in a private compound filled with museum-quality art. The design draws from 11th-century Chinese architecture that once dominated northern Thailand, mixing in Thai and Japanese influences for a wonderful fusion.

The spaces feel both ancient and contemporary. Location is everything here: you're steps from 35+ Buddhist temples and the famous night markets. If you're booking a basic room, we’ll get you an upstairs room— more private with your own outdoor seating area. The restaurant is open to non-guests, so expect some foot traffic during meal times.

Northern Thai Meets or European? It’s About the Setting

The single restaurant here serves both northern Thai specialties and European dishes with an intimate indoor setting, but it's the exterior courtyard setting with an outdoor fireplace and often mellow live music that makes this special. So while the setting and vibe score a 9.5, the food was a bit of a disappointment. Not bad per se, but a bit bland and uninspiring. The good news is there are many excellent restaurants nearby. The adjacent bar, small and charming, serves excellent coffee during the day and becomes a cozy spot for pre-dinner cocktails. Note that the restaurant is open to non-guests, so you might have some company.
