The Harmony Hotel is a charming surf and wellness hotel in the relaxed surf town of Nosara. It’s less than a two- minute walk from what is arguably Costa Rica’s most famous surf beach of Nosara. Think: barefoot luxury.
Just a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Liberia International Airport, this eco-chic sanctuary features 24 thoughtfully designed rooms, including Cabanas, good-sized Bungalows, and Two-Bedroom Suites that are great for families. In fact, this may be Nosara’s best family-friendly hotel. Each room effortlessly blends comfort with rustic charm (it was a bit too rustic for my taste).
The Harmony Restaurant serves up locally-sourced organic dishes, with a menu that caters to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences, including good veggie and vegan options. For a more casual bite, the Juice Bar has refreshing smoothies and light snacks perfect for that post-surf refuel. Wellness is at the corner of the Harmony experience, with a spa offering a range of holistic treatments, and a yoga studio hosting what is probably Nosara’s most extensive yoga schedule.
The hotel’s saltwater pool, set in the hotel’s tropical gardens, is a nice spot to unwind and soak up the sun, though a few more lounge chairs would be nice. If you’re eager to catch some waves, the Harmony Hotel offers complimentary surfboards for guests.
The hotel’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its eco-friendly practices, including solar energy, a comprehensive recycling program, and a focus on supporting the local community. Whether you’re a seasoned surfer or just looking to relax in paradise, the Harmony Hotel is a solid option in Nosara for comfort, adventure, and sustainability.
