Why should you trust us?

The Swank Guide has partnered with Booking.com and Tripadvisor to provide easy booking links for the hotels we recommend. Why? Because it ensures we can get you the lowest price, and it helps us continue to bring you empowering and entertaining content.

This new booking feature does not signal a change in our total editorial independence or in our status as a fully fan-supported business. Simply put: we have no financial relationship with any hotel or experience we recommend. We do not accept bags of cash, Dodgers tickets, sacrificial animals or blushing flatteries. The only way to get recommended by Swank is if we've tried it, loved it and would recommend it to our family and friends.

  • Aman-I-Khas, Village - Sherpur, near Ranthambore National Park, Khilchipur, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan 322001, India
  • Price guide: $$$$$
  • Experience: Cabins + Glamping

The Aman-i-Khas redefines glamping with a touch of colonial flair, combining rugged natural surroundings with just enough luxury to keep you very comfortable. Situated on the edge of Ranthambhore National Park, known for its large population of Bengal tigers, this tiny 10-tent oasis is where you come to commune with the wilderness—without giving up creature comforts. It’s a three-hour drive from Jaipur Airport. Perfect for adventurous souls with a taste for luxe experiences, this place is about as far from the city as you can get, in every sense.

Each of the ten tents is designed as its own mini-camp, complete with a dedicated “batman”: a personal assistant assigned to every guest, ensuring you’re cared for at an unparalleled level; maybe the best service I’ve ever experienced. The resort features a main restaurant for all meals, plus an alfresco dining option that will leave you feeling fully immersed in the jungle. Amenities include a spa tent, a simple gym, and even a library tent. One of the best spots here is the pool: nothing flashy, an understated oasis that’s perfect for cooling off in the midday heat.

Staying here is about connecting with nature in a way that’s curated, respectful, and undeniably luxe. Rates include all meals and soft drinks, running between $1,300 and $2,300 per night depending on the season (all bets are off during the holidays). The resort will also arrange exclusive safari experiences, so guests can explore Ranthambhore and catch a glimpse of the elusive tigers. It’s glamping for those who value exclusivity and crave a bit of wilderness adventure, without needing to rough it too much.
