Stuff You Should Know

The Sarojin is a boutique gem—stylish, peaceful, and not trying to impress you with over-the-top frills. Just know it’s 90 minutes north of Phuket Airport, so it’s not ideal for quick stopovers. Also, some restaurants prioritize outside guests over paying hotel guests (you’ll want to book ahead). The vibe is relaxed, elegant, and quietly luxurious. Just good design, friendly staff, relaxed and friendly guests, and great service at a price that still feels fair.

Food and drink

Food + Drink On-site surprises

Two great restaurants, no buffet, and a beach bar that nails the vibe

Breakfast is served à la carte by a tranquil reflecting pool, with no buffet chaos in sight—a rarity in Thailand. The Mediterranean restaurant, Ficus, is open and airy with views over water and a modernist aesthetic that’s more Palm Springs than Phuket. The Thai restaurant, Edge, delivers on spice and flavor, but book ahead—tables fill with outside guests. The beach bar is perfect for sunset drinks and casual lunches. Between the food, drinks, glassware, and setting, this place gets the little things right—more proof that great design and thoughtful service don’t have to break the bank.
