Stuff You Should Know

Your commute options include white-water rafting or a basket swing across a river – possibly the world's most dramatic "pick your poison" scenario. Once inside, you'll find 20 bungalows where AC is replaced by nature's fan service and plastic furniture occasionally breaks the jungle-luxe spell.

The food program swings between Michelin aspirations and mess hall memories, while Kenny G occasionally battles jungle acoustics for atmospheric dominance. Children must be at least 7, presumably old enough to appreciate the irony of paying luxury prices for refined summer camp vibes. Expensive but once in a lifetime. At least the rates include all your meals, the thrill of getting in/out and some activities.

Food and drink

Food + Drink On-site surprises

Where fine dining meets fireside tales

The culinary program here embraces multiple personalities: sophisticated plating in the main restaurant, riverside bonfires for those missing scout badges, and a bar that can't quite decide between wine list elegance and funky lighting. Food quality plays similar games of high-low roulette – some dishes deserve their own Instagram, others might make you wish you'd packed granola bars. The 7/10 rating feels generous on some nights, spot-on on others. At least the pre-dinner cocktails help you embrace the uncertainty with style.
