The Highs

  • A jungle-meets-rice-paddy setting you never get tired of
  • Only four rooms—privacy & calm built-in
  • Some of the best food on Sri Lanka’s south coast

Stuff You Should Know

This is a tiny hotel—just four rooms—so the vibe depends heavily on who’s staying. It’s quiet, design-centric, and not built for parties. You’re 10 minutes inland from Ahangama’s beaches & cafes, so plan on tuk-tuk rides. Rooms rely on breezes & fans, w/ AC powered by solar; sustainability is central to the design.

The plantation walk is lovely but rustic—expect mud after rain. WiFi exists but can be inconsistent. If you value privacy, architecture & nature over resort amenities, this place is magic.

Food and drink

Food + Drink On-site surprises

Local Ingredients, Big Flavor, Zero Pretension

Meals here feel personal, thoughtful & rooted in the south coast. Breakfast can be served anywhere on property—overlooking the pool, in the dining room, or outdoors facing the jungle. Expect fresh fruit, coconut rotis, eggs cooked to order & daily specials. Dinner is a standout: elevated Sri Lankan dishes made w/ produce grown on the plantation—herbs, cinnamon, tropical fruits—plus freshly caught fish from nearby villages. There’s no formal bar, but cocktails & wine are available, and the communal dining space turns into a warm gathering point at night. Quality is exceptional for a small 4-room hotel.
